Here's a 1982 Rickenbacker 4003 in a nicely aged Vintage White factory original finish. It is in pretty good condition for a bass approaching 40 years old. The finish has some light playwear, but is pretty clean --see pics..
There's some small chips, light rust on some of the hardware, scratches, finish discoloration and checking - scroll down to see 44 more detailed pics.
It's a tra...nsitional year between the 4001 and 4003 - the truss cover says 4003, but it has the 2 piece pickguard like a 4001.
It has all original pickups, electronics - pots date to 1981.
The top, sides and neck are in good condition with light/average type of playwear.
She weighs 9.3 lbs on a digital scale.
The serial number is VC 589 and it date to March of 1982.
She has a fresh set up with 45-105's and sounds superb!
Comes with the original Rickenbacker hardshell case - smells like it's been in someone's basement for years - as seen in the pictures.
