For your consideration is an original Clarostat balance control pulled from an early Marantz 7 tube preamplifier in excellent working condition.
This dual 1 MEG control bears Marantz part number RPC-6A, Clarostat EIA code of 140 and a date code of 6042, meaning it was manufactured on the 42nd week of 1960.
These controls were specially developed for Marantz and have a special curve to provide a smooth sound transition from left to right.
