Pair Western Electric 100F Loud Speaker Set Tube Amplifier 282A Bell Sys

Up for sale is this pair of Western Electric model 100F LoudSpeaker Sets. These vacuum tube amplifiers came from local estates and feature1951 and 1959 date stamps. Both sets appearto contain original components and remain functional after 60+ years – a true testamentto Western Electric quality!
Condition
Both amplifiers are in working condition with no hum. The tubes are above required criteria whentested for mutual conductance and leakage on a calibrated Hic...kok 752A tubetester. The location keys on the ballast tubes aremissing, but the ballast tubes are otherwise in good condition and allfilaments are good when checked with a DMM.Both cabinets are solid but exhibit scratches and dents consistentwith their age. Both chassis appear to retain all of their original componentsunderneath but I am not a Western Electric expert so I cannot verify. One power plug appears to have been replaceddecades ago and both audio input cords have been switched out to RCA jacks forconvenience.Both chassis have input transformers labeled type 282A and outputtransformers labeled Z3410, KB149868. Both chassis have Jensen Alnico 5 PM Speakers which are in great shapewith no visible damage. The speaker onthe top label set has a bit of a rattle at lower frequencies which you willneed to address if you plan on using the original speakers with thesesets. At lower volumes both sets soundgood as is evidenced in the attached video. These amplifiers would sound great when paired with some high efficiencyspeakers like Tannoy or Altec.
These amplifiers are being sold as-is. Although they are currently in working conditon, I cannot guaranteethat they will continue to operate identically after an international shipping excursion, so they are being listed as for parts ornot working. Due to their age, I cannotaccept any returns on this item. Assumethat some service or repairs will be required before putting them into regularservice.
