Vintage Ampex Mono 5 Tube Amplifier that uses 6V6 tubes, in original & unrestored good working condition. Not sure if its model 620 or 621 as it is not marked. Sounds good with only very minimal background hum like you’d hear on an old AM table radio. It would take just a little work to restore this to full fidelity, but works fine as is. There are a few cosmetic things to mention: faceplate has an engraving on it; past owner soldered and ran a power cord through the grill (hol...e covered with cap) as the original power cord had gone missing. Perfectly usable as is, or if you prefer, sometimes old oval appliance cords can be found on eBay. Sold as-is, as found with no returns or partial refunds, but guaranteed to be as shown & described. Recently eBay starting collecting sales tax for transactions in several states. These are automatically added to the final invoice and I'm not able to delete or adjust them. Please anticipate whether these taxes apply to you. Also, recently Fed Ex and the other carriers have dramatically increased costs when factoring even a small amount of dimensional weight (size of the box). What used to ship for weight alone such as a table radio is now several dollars more and a stereo component box now can cost double what it used to.
