This pipe was made in 2000 and hard to believe it's 21 years old! While the Dunhill 4103 is the quintessential English Billiard, sometimes Dunhill made some variations and this is certainly one of my favorites which I like to call the "box pressed cigar" shank as that's what it reminds me of! This 4103 feels bigger than a group 4 and cradles in hand perfectly with a stout bowl offering extremely thick walls protecting the healthy sized chamber. The shank, while "squared", is technicall...y rectangular adding a nice sturdy touch and meets the original vulcanite stem carrying on the same profile of course with straight bit and crisp white spot. The Shell finish is classic, a deep and rich burgundy with some golden and reddish tones while the blast displays fine horizontal ring grain and even vertical straight! Near mint, this Dunhill is a gem and comes complete with leather logo glove as pictured; not to be missed!
