You are looking at a very pretty Gunne Sax 2 piece matching dress and jacket by Jessica McClintock in excellent condition. I estimate that it was made around 1976.
Navy blue cotton calico sun dress with shoulder straps has a fitted bodice decorated with white lace and satin ribbon. A waist band with ribbon separates the bodice from a gathered dirndl skirt that has 2 deep seam pockets at the hip. The dress zips up the back. 43.5 inches from shoulder to lace skirt hem. 35" tight aroun...d the bust measured outside of dress; 26 inches outside perimeter of waist; generous more than 40 inches at hip and seat. Vintage 1970s size 9 measurements are approximately Bust 32", Waist 23.5", Hips 34" and are listed as such in the eBay "Item Specifics" section.
Lined quilted bolero Jacket has long square collar also decorated with ribbon and lace. 15 inches across shoulder of jacket, 24 inches long sleeves shoulder to wrist. Tags inside dress and jacket read: 156 style 6402619A , and RN 49422.
