1950's Vintage Mickey Mouse Club Phone Toy Red Plastic Talking Telephone Disney
This is a vintage toy Mickey Mouse Club red telephone. Features Mickey in the center of the dial with characters below who would converse - Jiminy Cricket, Donald Duck, Uncle Scrooge, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse. We believe this to be a toy that was released during the run of the show; which was from 1955-1959. The show also came back for a few years in the late 70's. The co...rd is black plastic thin tubing which is removable from the phone. I do not see a Disney licensing on the backside which leads me to believe that it was from the 50s. It indicates that it is a talking telephone -- insert one fresh "D" battery. There is some rust on some of the components in the back and I am unable to test it. Measures about 12 inches tall x 5.5 wide x 4.5 deep and comes from a smoke free home. The backside panel is cardboard and is dented/loose.
