This girl is an exceptional find! This is another painted eye pre-Ginny doll, hard plastic, 1949. She has beautiful hand painted side-glancing blue eyes, painted lashes and brows, luscious original mohair side part blonde wig with no thinning retaining original set, great strung hard plastic body that poses easily, and typical facial coloring of this year’s vogue dolls. She has bright red lips. she is wearing a very rare and HTF Daughter #8-20C, 1949, outfit. This outfit was mad to m...atch a similar one mad for the “mother” that was 14 inches tall. Both may be seen on page 47 of the purple Izen and Stover reference. Dress is of blue chambray cotton with white rick rack trim and felt decoration at the hem. Dress has a full Bertha collar trimmed with rick rack and is clean. My guess is that it has been laundered at some point in its life, and the felt flowers were probably larger originally. Under the dress are matching bloomers. On her feet are very good to excellent white vintage Greek key center snap shoes with working intact snaps and white vintage socks. In her hair in a vintage blue vogue bow and vintage barrette. Thank you for looking at this special girl!
