1903 Standard Desk Calcumeter, patented in Dec 1901Manufactured by Herbert North Morse in 1903.This model sold for $15 in 1903.Besides addition/substraction, a users manual stated that square root, cube root, discount and percentage could be preformed very rapidly. I do not have the users manual, but I learned this info from a web lookup. The Calcumeter is 8 ¾ inches long by 2 inches wide by 3/4 inches thick.On the back are two legs that were design...ed to keep the Calumeterat a 45 degree angle on a desk top if desired. On one end of the Calumeter are the words H. N. MORSE, TRENTON, N.J.On the other end are the numbers 37 then 12011.I do not have the original resetting stylus, but I have included a home made stylus that works perfectly. A ball point pen willalso works OK. The Calcumeter’s face is designed to display dollars and cents up to $9, 999.99, or if read without the lines for money, the Calcuemter will display a total numerical value up to 999, 999.A very good video(highly recommended) of this Calumeter can be seenon utube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VilkjdXxTKkI consider this rare Calcumeter to be in excellent condition and it operates perfectly.
