RARE U.S.N. CAMILLUS SAILORS MARK 1 DECK/UTILITY KNIFE WITH LEATHER SHEATH
UP FOR BID IS THE AFOREMENTIONED U.S. NAVY MARK 1 SAILORS DECK/UTILITY KNIFE MAUFACTURED BY CAMILLUS, NY.THE ACCOMPANIED SCABBARD MAY NOT BE NAVY ISSUED. I'VE BEEN COLLECTING WW II KNIVES, BAYONETS AND OTHER MILITARY GEAR FOR THE PAST 45 PLUS YEARS.  SINCE MY SONS HAVE NO INTEREST IN MY COLLECTIION, AT 75 YEARS OF AGE, I'VE DECIDED IT WAS TIME TO SELL-OFF THIS COLLECTION TO THOSE WHO WOULD APPE...CIATE IT. I'VE BEEN BOTH AN EBAY SELLER AND BUYER AND AQUIRED THIS AND OTHER ITEMS THAT WILL COME UP FOR BID. THIS MARK 1 SAILOR'S DECK/UTILITY KNIFE AND SCABBARD ARE IN GOOD CONDITION ALTHOUGH THE KNIFE DOES NEED A GOOD POLISHING AND OILING. I BELIEVE THIS CAMILLUS IS A SHINE MARK 1. THE KNIFE HAS A 5 INCH BLADE WITH AN OVERALL LENGTH OF 9 3/4 INCH. AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE PHOTOS THIS KNIFE HAS SEEN SOME USE. THE MANUFACTURE, CAMILLUS N.Y.. STAMPED ON  THE OTHER SIDE OF THE RICASSO IS U.S.N. OVER MARK 1.  IT ALSO HAS 3 3/4 STACKED LEATHER GRIP AND A STELL CROSS BAR WITH A PEANED BLACK WOODEN POMMEL. THE SCABBARD IS BROWN LEATHER AND IN GOOD CONDITION.
A GREAT DEAL FOR A COLLECTOR OF MILITARY GEAR.
