Vintage Remington Arms Company 8-1/2" Circular Saw Model 50480A, Parts, Used: This saw is being sold for parts or to be refurbished. The motor is 11 amps, 115 volts AC/DC, 4500 rpm and works great. However, the blade guard is cracked on the inside and is sticking and would need to be taken off and repaired welded and repaired. This is a worm gear saw with the saw blade on the right hand side. It is of all metal construction and it comes in its original Remington Arms Company red metal ...carrying case (see pictures). It includes the fence. The table is straight and all the other parts are in excellent condition except the cord. It has its original heavy duty electrical cord. The outer insulation of the cord is in great condition, but you can hear that the inside wiring is brittle. The Remington Arms Company bought the Mall Tool Company in 1956. It manufactured electric, gasoline and pneumatic tools till it was sold to DESA Industries in 1969.
