A very beautiful antique Meiji cloisonne vase. Interesting, rare ground color - soft, light yellow/green. Very nice scene of to Asian ducks under flowers and foliage. Beautiful colors! The scenes are all done in intricate fine silver wire. True Japanese style, not cluttered, very nice.
This vase exhibits very high standard of fine Japanese hand craftsmanship.&...nbsp; I estimate from the early Meiji Period. The cloison detail work in silver wire was certainly performed by a master of Japanese cloisonne. No maker mark, but concentric circles indicates a higher level of making from my experience.
This antique vase is in excellent original condition. No cracks, repairs, or dents. Some normal wear to base. Vase displays very beautifully.
Approximate size is 6" tall and 2 3/4" wide.
