Here is another one from my fine collection of the brother sister series of the pre- Ginny Painted Eye era that I never played with but purchased in my 30’s. She was born when I was born! She is a RARE Vintage Pre Ginny Painted Eye ALPINE 1948-49. I’ve been collecting for 65 years and barley ever see this version listed In any condition much less the excellent condition this one is in. Take a close look. If you’re serious collector you may want her.This is so rare it isn’t foun...d in most booksHARD TO FIND Blue felt and cotton version especially in this fabulous condition.No graying to the linen top one piece & no holes in the felt skirt which has the ink spot label attachedHer Hat is vibrant Gold and Blue with trim that matches the rest of her outfit Slip on type of shoes show very little wear with smooth bottom but one ribbon hole torn Socks are still tight probably never off She has her original stringing which is a little loose on the body but she still holds her pose and her arms are tight. I see no crackles or slits in any of her seems except a very tiny one at the top of her neck which one her head is straight cannot be seen at all. It’s about 1/16 of an inch as shown. I will restring her if you want.She has been in my collection for a long time and is the most colorful and detailed of all the Alpine dolls.Thank you for looking.
