1940 ACME TYPE I PRESS PHOTONEA STAMPED 1/19/40CLARKE HINKLE AND THE GREEN BAY PACKERS TAKE ON THE NFL ALL STARS JANUARY 14, 1940, AND THEY BEAT THEM 16-7.SLUG DATED -- 1/14/40 A great and most likely unique old piece of Packer history. It is very important to realize that these type I press photos are not mass-produced pieces, but were only developed and issued as they were ordered, if they were ordered for some type of publication. Other than that the orig...inal photo just sat in the NEA Library gathering dust for decades. They were developed on the day of the NEA (or other facility) stamp on the back, and if they were developed soon after the original photo was taken, then they are classified "Type I" and are stamped with that date. This is what makes them unique, unlike mass produced collectibles, there is not another Clarke Hinkle photo exactly like this one in existence. They are never in super great condition, but you are not buying condition, you are buying uniqueness and rarity.
