***MORE PICTURES are below or click See more or See full description***VINTAGE ORIGINAL TYPE 1 CURTA CALCULATORI bought this at an estateauction. It is marked on the base: System Curt Herzstark Made in Liechtenstein by Contina AG Mauren Type I No 36340. It is also marked with a sticker in the center of the base: Scholl POSTSTRASSE 3. ZURICH (I believe this was a Stationary store?). And the same Scholl sticker is on the bottom of the canister case. I have done n...othing to this except for test it. It appears everything is working as it should. It is very clean, most likely always kept in it's case. Based on the serial number, I believe that makes this produced in 1957. I believe this is an all metal version (the can is definitely metal, I think the clearing ring is metal and the crank arm kinda looks like it could be plastic but the shape compares to others that say metal, so just not sure). There is some dirt on the writing of the case (open/Curta/arrrows) that may clean off. The canister & lid also have a few light scratches. The calculator itself shows very little signs of use with just some light dirt in the carriage rings. Simply beautiful! There are 29 pictures to look through. Selling as is with no returns please.
