A really rather rare version of Bernard Instone's c1930 design, this time with a lovely hexagonal amazonite stone, bezel set in silver. The stone's colour is pale aquas, which is lovely. I have attached a photo of the original signed 1930s design sketch by Bernard Instone, showing the mounting for this range of rings. He made them with different stones but this is the first hexagonal version with such a lovely amazonite stone that I have come across.I... love the sleek feel to this ring, as it sits snugly to your finger and therefore, is lovely to wear....no snagging of your clothes.
The ring has the typical Arts and Crafts double shank and where it meets the main part of the ring, there is an Instone forget-me-not flower and two leaves.It is in excellent condition, both the silver work and the stone...just having some patina on the silver which I will leave for you to decide upon. The stone measures approx. 1.6cm by 1cm so makes a very pretty statement...It measures as a UK size L.5, which is approx. US size 6. It is stamped STERLING SILVER on the inside of the band.It is in excellent condition.
