A stunning art nouveau antique mandolin, with the label 'Francesco Perretti & Figli - Fabbrica di Strumenti Musicali Fondato nel 1840 NAPOLI ITALIA inside. It is in need of some repair, as the top has lifted as shown - this does push back flush to the base, so imagine it could be a pretty easy repair for the right person. There's a few pieces of pearl and wood decoration missing where this is, but again I imagine this wouldn't be too hard to find. There's a crack along the other si...des top decorative pieces as shown, but doesn't look too bad to me. Also a curved lower section of the finger board is missing as shown. The mandolin comes in a black case (some general wear/tear, and with a small red finger protector for when you play. It really is a beautiful instrument, with a classy Art Nouveau style flower pearl inlay, and measures approx 26 inches in length.
