The "American Derby" was created in 1949 when Joseph M. Linsey offered a $25, 000 purse race for greyhounds which was unheard of and shocked greyhound owners everywhere.
The handicapper's selections for this 32nd derby were:JUDGE PINE, UNRULY and GOOD SHOT.
The remaining dogs in the race were:JUST A KID, LABIT'S FREDERIC, DEVON UNOCOY,... PECOS WHEELING and JUST PLAIN JOE.
The back cover features the previous Champions from 1952-1979.
The program is in excellent condition with no tears or stains.
