Up for your consideration is a Wonderful Hand-Wrought Sterling Silver Ice Bowl from the Kalo Shops near Chicago Illinois.This piece is actually a bowl with an perforated removable sterling liner that holds the ice above the water as it melts. The bowl and liner are 8 3/16 th in diameter when measured with the liner in place. The bowl measures 11 5/16 from the outer edges of the applied strap handles. There is even overall hammering to both pieces and a wonderful ...Star-shaped perforation to the liner. The bowl is 4.75 inches to the top of the rim and 5 inches to the top of the handles when seated flat on a even surface. Both pieces of this set weigh a combined 1061 grams. All in all, a wonderful, and truly useful piece of arts and crafts silver. Only the bowl itself is marked Kalo as noted in the pictures. When not in use as an ice bowl, it can also double function as a fruit bowl or to float flower in on the center of your table. It appears that this piece has only been hand polished and gently used over the years. As with Antique items of this age a certain amount of wear due to normal usage should be expected.
