This is a full show showcasing the highlights of 1976, in studio with announcers Bob Caudl...e and David Crockett, with 1976 arguably being the greatest single year in the rich history of Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling. Here's the lineup: (1) Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Champions Tim Woods and Dino Bravo discuss a film clip from June 28, 1976 in Greenville, South Carolina where they dropped the NWA World Tag Team Championship belts to Gene and Ole Anderson in controversial fashion with Ole using a cast on his arm to assist in the title change. (2) "Number One" Paul Jones discusses a film clip where he apparently defeats Blackjack Mulligan late in the year for the United States Heavyweight Championship, but Mulligan filed a protest with NWA President Eddie Graham, and Graham later awarded the U.S. belt to Mulligan because Jones' feet were UNDER the ring ropes when he pinned Blackjack! (3) In your area (IYA) localpromos of champion heels Ric Flair (wrestlingWahoo McDaniel for the Mid-Atlantic Title) and Blackjack Mulligan (wrestling Paul Jones for the United States Title) conducted by Ed Capral promoting the upcomingmatches at the Richmond Coliseum on December 27, 1976. Wahoo would defeat Flair in this No Disqualification/No Time Limit bout to become the new Mid-Atlantic Heavyweight Champion. (4) "Chief" Wahoo McDaniel discusses a film clip from May of 1976 in Charlotte where Ric Flair injures him by hitting him with a table leg and caused 40 stitches, taking the Mid-Atlantic Championship from Wahoo in the process. (5) Blackjack Mulligan, Ric Flair and Greg Valentine discuss their current programs, and segue to discussing the film of a two-ring Battle Royal from Greensboro in November where Mulligan and Wahoo won their respective rings, with Wahoo ultimately winning the $20, 000 grand prize. (6) IYA local promos of the good guys Wahoo and Paul Jones conducted by Ed Capral promoting the upcoming matches at the Richmond Coliseum on December 27, 1976.
