Vintage 1965 JMI Vox Domino Bass Piggyback Valve Amplifier Head & 1x12 CabinetBeautiful Domino Bass valve amplifier made by JMI (Vox) in the UK. These are very similar to the Vox AC4 of the same period, with plenty of gain and lovely breakup at sensible volumes. We purchased this off of the original owner, alongside a wonderful Marshall 20w head, and he had looked after it well in his life. The original valves work beautifully - 1x Mullard EZ80, 1x Mullard ECC83 and ...1x Marconi EL84 - alongside the transformers, of which one has previously burnt out and therefore replaced. The white handle is a period correct replacement, though not original, as are the knobs. The bolts holding the head to the cabinet are newer replacements, replaced by our tech as the originals were missing. The Bulgin has been replaced for a modern IEC. The Fane speaker sounds brilliant. This is one heck of an amplifier! There are a few scuffs here and there, and also some remnants of a 'Vox' logo (now removed) on the front baffle, otherwise in great condition.
