Selling a 1979 Rickenbacker 4001 Project. Bass was originally cream colored. Then someone painted it pink, then they stripped it and strained it. Not a professional job, but it does look cool. Neck feels great. Slim and smooth. Neck appears straight, truss rod works. Fret Board is in a little rough shape and the frets will need to be leveled and dressed. Little buzzy and frets out in a couple spots (2nd fret and a couple at the 17, 18, 19th area). Pickups are from a 4003. Wiring harnes...s is original. Pickups wIll need to be wired up. Selector switch might be broke but I will include a new one. Fret board is lifting slightly near the 3rd and 4th fret on the G string side (probably what is causing it to fret out on the 2nd fret)...Pictured. Very slight. Should be an easy fix (glue and clamp). Probably from all the refinishes. Doesn’t appear to be caused by poor truss rod adjustments. Tuners are new Rickenbacker replacements. Currently strung with Rickenbacker bass strings. Truss cover is from a 4003 bass.Should be a fun project. Nothing appears to be too difficult. Good project for someone that has some extra time or money to pay a shop to do it. Jazz pickup pictured is not included.US Shipping Only. Lower 48. Selling as is, no refunds.
