Vintage Tinplate Clockwork Walking Bear Toy, Occupied Japan + Wind-Up Monkey, AFA lot of 2 vintage tinplate clockwork toys including a Walking Bear with tinplate body covered in brown fur with glass or plastic eyes made in Occupied Japan in the 1940’s orearly 50's, together with a clockwork Monkey with fur covered body, tan jacket and vinyl face probablyalso made in Japan in the 1950’s. The bear measures 5 inches long by 2.5 wide and 3 inches tall and is in good to very good used... working condition with some playwear, missing one eye and some loss of fur in places. When wound, it walks with a realistic action while also moving its head from side to side, repeating this action until the motor winds down. It has a label underneath marked with “Made in Occupied Japan” and comes with anon-original key. The Monkey measures 5.25 inches talland is in fair non-working condition with loss of fur in places. Vintage Tinplate Clockwork Walking Bear Toy,
Occupied Japan + Wind-Up Monkey, AF
A lot of 2 vintage tinplate clockwork toys including a Walking
Bear with tinplate body covered in brown fur with glass or
plastic eyes made in Occupied Japan in the 1940’s or
early 50's, together with a clockwork Monkey with fur
covered body, tan jacket and vinyl face probably
also made in Japan in the 1950’s.
The bear measures 5 inches long by 2.5 wide and 3 inches
tall and is in good to very good used working condition
with some playwear, missing one eye and some loss
of fur in places. When wound, it walks with a realistic action
while also moving its head from side to side, repeating this
action until the motor winds down. It has a label underneath
marked with “Made in Occupied Japan” and comes with a
non-original key. The Monkey measures 5.25 inches tall
and is in fair non-working condition with loss of fur in
places. The spring probably needs attention/replacement.
