RARE Antique Theodore DECK French Ceramic Porcelain Umbrella Stand Floral Design.
Up for sale is a SPLENDID Rare Antique ~Theodore DECK~ Ceramic Porcelain Umbrella Stand / Vase, originally from France, this exquisite large ceramic piece features a STUNNING Opulent Floral Design in lovely blue, black and gold colors way. Dated Approx mid to late 1800s. Marked TI DECK on the bottom, The artist Theodore (TI) Deck trained as a chemist and sculptor, working in pottery-stove factories in ...Strasbourg, Vienna and Berlin but then set up his own atelier in Paris in 1856. His early products included Renaissance-style historicist wares, later on in life he worked in other styles, making work designed by a number of other artists, his career ended as Director at Sèvres from 1888 till his death.
Condition is WONDERFUL considering its age, shows surface wear, with some light chips around the top and bottom rims. Please see detailed pictures provided for a closer look at condition.
