Rare Vintage PARAGON "JOHNSON FLOATING RED ROSE"Cup & Saucer Set Pale Pink Colorway c 1957-60 Virtually Mint CONDITION NO RESERVE Description I am pleased to offer a rare vintage bone china cup and saucer set made by Paragon, England Stunning design of an eleg...ant huge dark red rose in full bloom with green leaves The rose has all the characteristics of velvet - absolutely beautiful This is the famous "Reg Johnson Rose" pattern which is affectionately known as FLOATING RED ROSE Palest pink background colorway The cup and the saucer each features one large version and two smaller versions of the rose One of the most beautiful cups and saucers I have ever owned Circa 1957-60 Both cup and saucer are in virtually mint condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, other damage or restoration Both pieces pass the ping test of bone china perfectly No wear to transfer; no wear to gold trim other than a tiny "flaw" (and I am being picky) which is less than optimal application of the gold line trim on one spot of the cup handle Cup measures 2 5/8" tall at sides and is 4 5/8" across including handle; the saucer is 5 1/2" across Marked as shown in photo with pattern A 3451/10 and decorator squiggles handpainted in burned orange Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash This stunning set would make a great addition to your collection No reserve so good luck in your bids!
