Antique Early 19th Century Pearlware Glaze Staffordshire Figurine of a Jockey Offered for sale is a superb Staffordshire figure of what I believe is a Jockey. I've never seen another like it and the overall condition is outstanding. There are a couple of hairlines through the riding crop he is holding in his right hand and the end of the crop appears to be missing. There is an in the making minor kiln kiss to the left side of his head and there is an ... underglaze as made chip to the top edge of the base. There is also an in the making kiln kiss on one edge of the base that has pulled some glaze off, otherwise fine. This is extremely good condition for a figure of this age. The original enamel are bright and near perfect. Measures 6&7/8" tall, 2&3/8" across the base.
