*** ************************** ****Up for sale here is a hutchinson soda bottle, from the Allegheny County river town of Natrona, Pennsylvania. This rare clear glass example has the watermelon slug plate, and is listed as rare on the Hutchbook.com site. Bottle should date from the late 1890's to about 1905. This hutch is in near perfect shape, with some light wear and barely an...y haze. There are no chips, pings or dings. Quite clean overall, and the old clear glass would sun purple over time if left exposed.*It is nicely embossed in a larger oval watermelon slug plate, as it reads ~ "EDW / WELSH / BOTTLER / NATRONA, PA." The base in un embossed, and there are no glass house markings. This handsome example measures 6 3/4 inches tall, and 2 1/2 inches in diameter. You will be well pleased with this vintage piece of soda pop bottling history, from the state of Pennsylvania.
