This is a very rareantique solid and heavy sterling silver spoon from Bar Harbor Maine dating backto years around 1892 featuring on the heavy handle figural Indian warier holding a bow, below a big arrow down the handle. In the bowl it has very detailed bay scene with city in thedistance. This kind of heavy cast spoons were made by Gorham Mfg. Co. aroundthe year 1892. Within few years after the cast method of making spoons wasabandoned in favor of embossed type. Condition of the spoon ...is excellent, measures 5-1/2” long (141 mm) in length and is in excellent condition, feels solidand heavy, weights 45.3 grams. On the back of handle marked STERLING  and has maker’s hallmarks (lion anchor G) for Gorham Mfg. Co. Shipping onmultiple purchases are gladly combined.
