"SUPERMAN" APPEARANCE!Great early 1940s golden age FLEISCHER POPEYE cartoon has Popeye facing offagainst frustrated hypnotist Prof I. Stare. When the swami puts thewhammy on Olive, it's up to Popeye to keep her safe until he takescare of the Prof by eating some Spinach and becoming a SUPERMAN (notsurprising since the Fleischers were producing the Superman series atthe time). Great vintage TV original on Kod...ak stock (double triangleedge code) has sharp contrast and top audio. Print is fully completewith many of the theatrical opening titles including great opening POPEYEimage intact. Cartoon shows minor lines and few splices, runsperfectly and has no vinegar smell. One of the best early 1940sFleischer Popeye tunes.
