Circa 1790-1830 Wrought Iron Candlespike/Courting Candlestick
Similar examples seen in numerous reference books on early lighting, as well as The Collectors Encyclopedia of the American Revolution by George Neumann.
This candlespike would likley have originally had a turned wooden base but also could have been driven into a cross section of a beam to use as a... candle-holder, or directly down onto a table, log, etc.
As you can see it was masterfully crafted by an early smith with excellent attention to detail with the curled lifting handle, etc.
The formation of the piece is often called a "courting candlestick".

Some slight pitting from age, else very good+
Measures 10" in length.
Certain to be a wonderful addition to any period lighting or iron collection, or as an accent to any period decorum.

Thanks and happy bidding!
