This is an Original Document issued by the US Patent Office over 120 years ago. It has foxing and tears around the edges but it is complete. Very scarce!
The typewriter in the image is a mystery to me. It was invented by George W. N. Yost and James Densmore but it is neither a Yost nor Densmore model that I'm aware of. The patent was issued to the American Writing Machine Company, manufac...turers of the Caligraph but it is unlike and Caligraph recognizable to me. At 1st glance it appear to be either a Remington No.2 or Fay-Sho No.6 but it's not quite those models either.
