Original Description:
A set of Four Sons of Horus amulets two and a half inches tall. I obtained these pieces along with a few good shabti's from a German gentleman who apparently inherited an Egyptian collection from a relative. He was selling everything off cheap and apparently had little knowledge as to what he had. Some pieces were obvious fakes while others were dead of correct. These are made of black faience and painted as seen. What sold me is the paint on these pieces. The colors are right and over...all correct (see for yourself). The problem is that I don't know black faience. The composition is different from ordinary white faience and therefor doesn't bubble when submerged in water. I am a zealot when it comes to collecting and refuse to have a suspect item on display. These look and feel right, but I just don't know. Study the photos for there is no return. My loss might be your gain...
