I have no idea what these frames are for except that they are antique camera accessories. I think they are to hold glass plates but I don't really know. You antique camera buffs will likely know. The larger one measures 8 1/2" by 11 1/2" including the wooden frame. The smaller one is 6 1/2" by 5 1/2. The frames are walnut and in very good condition. Both have with what appears to be brass (they don't react to a magnet) hinges and holding devices on the back. The fronts are felt covered... and two hinged sections. I have not cleaned them up as I thought it would be better not to mess with them. An unusual find to say the least.
