Original Description:
- Original vintage Canadian Sherwin-Williams Wet Paint sign, a reversible variation from the Province of Québec, being issued by Jean Paul Poirier, a retailer from Bouchette, a picturesque municipality constituted in 1867, situated in La Vallée-de-la-Gatineau. The sign, produced in semi-rigid pasteboard, c. 1930s, measuring 5 1/2” by 6 15/16”, features an unusual Sherwin-Williams logotype, essentially a combination of the 1919 and 1926 designs, characterized by a cartoon gentlema...n shielding droplets with his umbrella. Phrasing may be observed in the English and French languages. A remarkable sign that surely displays nicely, nevertheless reasonable wear should be noted.
