Up for sale is this 1973 - 1975 Fender Jazz Bass Neck. It is a natural relic, but still in excellent playing condition. It is the way it was when I got it. There is a small, minor, hairline between the D and G tuning machine routs. It appears to have been glued long ago and it has never been an issue. There are plenty of dings, scraps etc.. etc.. Sweet!! The neck is straight and plays in pitch, up and down the board. The neck has been refretted and they did a very good job. Due to a lo...t of playing, and possibly during the refret, a lot of the finish has been worn from the fingerboard. Not a major issue, since the early 70s Fender Jazz necks did not have the extra 1000 layers of gloss like the later 70s models. The neck has early 70s nickel tuning machines. They are a little tight, but they hold pitch as expected. The nut is in good shape and the truss rod turns in both directions. It was sold to me as a 71 - 74. The tuning machines would be late 73 - 75 era. The neck stampings read 75 (I think). Which would make it a very early 1975 4 Bolt, before Fender switched to the 3 Bolt system by mid 1975.
