---The photos load incrementally below depending on your connection, please allow a few seconds to appear

--- I made a youtube demonstration video showing this unit in operation. The name of the video is Cameraphone-ahp-washington-ebay-listing-woody-herman-demo, if you do a google search it comes up as the first result (even without the entire t...itle).

--- Notes about the video I wound the player 30 times. In the video it plays one side of a 78 and part of the other side (if the reproducer head is lifted the unit will still spin and wind down, it doesn't have enough power towards the end of the wind to spin with the reproducer on the record). There are two thumbscrews on the front. The one by the winding opening keeps the spring locked while you wind, the thumbscrew up higher controls the speed of the platter, it can also be used to stop the record). In the video you can see me adjusting the speed to try to get the correct speed/pitch. I didn't try to level the unit, in any case, the video gives I think a good idea of operation.

--- NOTE the tortoise shell globe around the horn has three or so cracks, from what I can see they are at the connection opening on the bottom, none of them affect the structural integrity (nothing rattles or is loose). I took several photos so you can see them clearly below. I took the top plate off and you can see the case for the movement, you can't see the actual movement but on the sides the main spring case and some of the gears are visible. You can see there is some surface oxidation on some gears/parts. I'm not sure how many winds you should apply for each play, I didn't want to try to wind the main spring super tight (at 30 winds it already had enough resistance like it was approaching max winds).

--- Comes with some extra needles (78 record used in demo is not included). You can see there is plating wear/oxidation etc on the chrome/nickel plated parts, see photos for item condition). Case leather shows wear on the inside and outside, again, see photos for case condition. Top strap is intact (but should not be used, the unit is around 6 lbs and the leather is old). When I ship the unit I will pack the reproducer/horn/globe assembly outside the case (it is a somewhat tight fit inside the box, in fact there is a small gap when you close the lid, you have to apply a little pressure to latch it (you can see on the inside front of the lid there is deep scuffing to the leather which is caused by the reproducer head coming into contact with it, it seems to keep everything in place with that extra little pressure with the lid).

--- As just noted I will pack the parts seperate from the main unit. I pack so the item won't get damaged if the box is thrown onto concrete etc.

--- Please take the time to watch the video and see all of the photos below.

--- See photos for condition details.

--- Will be well packed

--- See shipping options above
--- Payment expected within 3 days of purchase (contact me if you need more time).
--- The item description is guaranteed to be accurate but all items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated.
--- I don't have a way to arrange for a local pick-up of this item, I'm sorry for the inconvienence
