An Antique Five Key Tapered Wooden British Military Flute. ** Intriguing .... the Head Section Stamped HY Potter, the Mid Section Stamped T. Dawkins & Co, 1914.** The Sections give the impression of having been part of the same Instrument for a long time, they all have a similar Colour and Patina. Two of the Ferrules are Stamped with the British Military Broad Arrow. * In good order overall.* Approx' 50.50 cms / 20 Inches in length when asse...mbled. All Keys move with a sprung return but will probably need attention. All but one of the Cork Pads are present, again these will need attention. The Joints fit together well, they are quite firm but a little looser than is ideal, they will no doubt need re-binding. ** I don't play so all of the above will need to be assessed by a player or aficionado.** All Metalwork in good structural order, no cracks or other damage. Ferrules all good and firmly in situ. Body itself in very good condition, with only minor surface patina of age and use, no structural issues, no cracks, splits or major damage, as shown clearly.
