Rare Late 1800s Antique A. Segelke Oxford, Nebraska hutch soda bottle. This bottle was found in Colorado and is a hutchinson tyoe of soda bottle. It stands about 6.5" tall and is about 2.5" across the bottom. This bottle is in overall great shape though it does have overall haze from being in the ground and could use a tumble. There are no cracks or chips on it. There are two or three fleabites, one on the shoulder that does have a slight flash to it, one near ...the base and the other to the left of the slug plate on the seam line that is a fleabite. If you look at the last picture yo see what looks like a crack above the SE in the slug plate. This looks to be internal and looks more like it occurred while it was being made and is a manufacturing flaw versus a post in the ground crack.There a couple of smaller ones to the left of this one. None of them can be felt along the surface. All mentioned to try and provide accuracy, but still a very cool bottle. It still contains the metal stopper, and the old rubber gasket is laying on the bottom. Very crudely made bottle. The slug plate reads A. SEGELKE & Co over OXFORD over NEB. The letters are fat and crude. The bottle has a nice light blue aqua color. This bottle is the only one listed from Oxford, Neb. which only had a population of about 700 back when this was made.
