A gorgeous, original machine age necklace by Jakob Bengel, c.1930s in date. The necklace is in bright silvertone or chrome plated metal, with his characteristic brick work or 'Mauerwerk' pattern forming a 'V' in the centre with twisted metal tubes hanging beneath and finished with a curb-link chain. The actual 'bricks' of the design are painted with enamel so that they alternate silver, bright blue and black- wear to the enamel is very minimal, with no chips or losses and a glossy fini...sh. The necklace is 41.5cm long in total with a good safety clasp, and the centre of the necklace is 25mm deep. Please see all photos.
