Northstar North Star Advantage Computer with Low Serial Number
The computer was opened up and using an air compressor I blew out the dirt and dust. I washed down the case and cleaned the keyboard. I applied power to the computer. The fan turn on and the screen turned on (see photos). I was able to best every key on the keyboard and it work. When I press the return, the top 5.25" Floppy Disk Drive light came on the heads spun looking for a disk. I am gue...ssing that this computer will need special software to run it. There are lines in the monitor display (see photos). There looks to have been something glued on the top right front of the computer. I am sure that with some chemicals and hard rubbing than that should come off. There are no cracks in the case except for one spot (please view last photos). The computer was powered on for about 5 minutes without any caps blowing. However with all older computers, the caps should be replaced. I am not responsible if they burn up on the buyer.
