Beautiful Ladies Victorian 19th Century French MOTHER OF PEARL & PAPER FIGURAL SCENE BRISE FAN.
The fan comes with a wood and beveled lid storage box. This Ladies fan is wonderful decorated with an outdoor garden court scene with personages on both sides. It has 18 mother of pearl sticks. The Mother of Pearl has beautiful iridescent of rainbow co...lors in light, with fantastic pierced work. All the MOP sticks and the guards are elaborate carvings, pierced and inlaid gilded silver application (piquè work). The sticks are connected with a lovely metal ring loop and include a tiny red shiny stone in each side. Wonderful craft man work!!!
