1950s Carl Aubock Modernist Brass Key CorkscrewYou are viewing a great 1950s modernist solid brass key corkscrew and bottle opener designed by Carl Auböck.  A defining figure of Austrian modernism.  Carl Auböck designed functional brass objects and made everyday objects into desirable art pieces.  This brass wine key is a perfect example of Auböck's modernist idea of design sensibility.  It can function as a paperweight, an art piece, and a bar or party tool. The piece is not si...gned. This MCM bar accessory is an iconic collectible design object. It maintains a glossy golden brass shine, and the corkscrew is in excellent condition. This is overall in excellent vintage condition with light age appropriate wear.The key is 5-1/8 inches long in total, and the handle measures 3 inches wide. The corkscrew piece with handle is 4.5 inches long, and the bottom sleeve is 3 inches long.
