This is for a beautifully stylish art deco sterling silver cigarette case from 1929. It has a lovely geometric engine turned design to both sides with an empty square cartouche to the front of the lid. The inside of the case has been nicely gilded and it has a spring strap inside for holding the contents. It is in excellent condition with no dents, a strong clasp and only the lightest of wear. It carries a set of English sterling silver import hallmar...ks which date it to Birmingham 1929 along with the makers mark A.S for Adolf Scott. The case has a sprung hinge and flips open when the catch is pressed and when closed it measures 83mm (3.25") x 124mm (4.75").
