These AR-3a speakers sat in a high school music room’s closet for years, unused, at a school where I used to teach. When the school closed, the speakers were going to be thrown away, so I rescued them.
Cosmetically, the speakers are in wonderful shape - I cleaned them up and gave them a dark walnut finish. There are no holes or tears in the speaker covers, and while the AR-3a badges concede their age, they give them character and a cool look. They’re refoamed and sound great.... The sound is rich and big. So, there’s most likely a loose connection in there somewhere, which you can either fix yourself or take in for repair. The speakers still sound awesome, but again, those knobs on the rear are finicky. I will ship via UPS and have their shipping professionals box them to ensure safe travel. Thanks for reading!
