AR-3a SPEAKERS Vintage. Serial numbers 3A 11807 and 3A 1827. Sound absolutely wonderful. Excellent Condition. Shipped by UPS Ground. Each speaker weighs 46 pounds. Speakers will be taken to UPS store for professional packaging and shipment. Any funds remaining from prepaid shipping of $250 minus the actual cost of UPS packaging and shipping will be refunded to the buyer.
All profit from the sale of these speakers goes to local Sister Cities Youth Program.&nbs...p; Speakers were donated to our charitable group by retired PhD Electrical Engineer who said he purchased them brand new in mid 1960's. They look like they have been taken well care of. He demonstrated to me that they work using a Carver M-400T AMP on classical music. For those of you who know your audio equipment, I believe that is a serious amp. When asked if he wanted to sell the amp with the speakers, he said he was not yet ready to part with it. From the look in his eyes, I understood. I not really sure he "wanted" to get rid of the speakers, but I think his wife told him it was time to downsize. He is not able to move them anymore.
