Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver and Turquoise Tie Signed B. BETONEY.
This piece comes from a collection of Native American art and jewelry that my great-grandfather put together between the late '70s and early '80s. This tie showcases the classic artistic style of its maker, B. Betoney, whose name can be seen stamped on the back. The Betoneys' work is instantly recognizable by the thin pointed turquoise (this particular piece has 47 turquoise stones) and delicate sterling silver twis...ts. Measures 6 1/2 inches from top to bottom, and the back also has a pin to help secure the tie in place when worn.
