Antique Victorian Onyx & Silver IN MEMORY OF Locket
This beautiful locket has a central compartment with an etched monument that says "In Memory Of."  The locket is set in onyx and opens to the right.  It has one bezel to hold a photo.  It is a large locket that is over 2 1/4" with the bail and 1 1/4" wide.  The bail is attache to a silver piece that is etched with leaves.
Victorian mourning jewelry was used to remember loved ones who have passed on. ... picture of the loved one can be worn close to the heart inside the locket.  This is a unique locket with its compartment inset into the onyx.
the locket hinge is sound and it closes with a "snap".  Please see photos for condition.
