Up for bid is an early box set of 6 Norwegian sterling and enameldemitasse spoons by David-Andersen. Thespoons are 3 3/4 inches long and together weigh 53 grams. The spoons are gilded silver with a stippledfinish, and the bowls and handles are decorated in six different colors ofguilloche enamel. The spoons have notbeen monogrammed. The spoons are marked “925S”with the old David Andersen tongs trademark. The spoons come in their original gray paper cove...red box with whitesatin lining, stamped “DAVID ANDERSEN / JUVELER / CHRISTIANIA”.<P>Condition on the set is fairly good. The greenish blue spoon has some enameldamage on both sides of the handle, but otherwise the spoons are quite nice. One of the hinge pins on the box is missing, and the satin at the hinge is torn. Still a very nice set of early David Andersenspoons.<P>
