REFURBISHED WWII ERA 1943 MENS BULOVA COMMODORE MODEL 21 JEWELS MENS OR WOMENS WATCH. This is a beautiful example of a classic men's nautical inspired watch that was only available from 1943 to 1946. Many of the Bulova watches were named to honor the men and women fighting in the war. The Cadet, Captain, Admiral, Aviator, Navigator, and Commodore just to name a few. This version of the Commodore with it's fancy lugs gives the 14K Gold Filled cas...e the look of a ship's wheel. Few of these were made with the black dial and this dial does appear to be original. The movement is a bright, desirable, and dependable 10AK, 21 jewel, mechanical movement that is running strong and keeping good time. The movement has recently been cleaned and serviced by a watch professional, the case is ultrasonically cleaned and a new crystal has been installed. This is a very desirable and collectible Gentlemens wristwatch that would make an excellent gift. It has a new, vintage, genuine lizard leather JB Champion strap. The watch is marked Bulova on the dial, case back, and movement and the numbers match. The only place I can fault the watch is a small wear through on the highest part of the lug at the seven o'clock position. That's a quick and inexpensive fix that can be done by a jeweler. As is, this watch will garner plenty of compliments. Please look at all of the photos as they are part of the description, remember to wind vintage watches with care, never considered them waterproof, and understand that they are not as accurate as quartz Watches.
