The gilt brass cruciform frame has a wrythen design, the handle with a cast lozenge pattern, and with a hollow end that fits onto the spike on the petal base allowing the screen to be either hand held or used free-standing on a tabletop.
The embroidered screen is of rectangular form with lower silk fringing and features a white Yorkshire rose above a foliate wreath on a floral ground - please see all photos and .Size : Approx 19 1/2" tall x 9 1/2" wide at maximum points inc. stand, the screen approx 9 3/4" x 7 1/2". Condition : The frame is missing one eye otherwise good antique condition with expected light wear / tarnish to the finish. The embroidered shield is very faded with areas of fraying to the front, the rear silk lining is shot / extensively worn with holes / tears / losses, and one hook is missing - please see all photos and .
